The men’s ministry team aims to provide a programme that encourages and equips men to live in faithfulness to Christ, and honour him in our responsibilities at home, at work, in church and in the wider community. There are a number of ways we can encourage one another in this, and the program includes both formal and informal opportunities to meet and learn together. In seeking to live for Christ, we also want to create opportunities for others to hear the good news of Jesus, so the programme includes a number of activities designed to help men to reach out to our non-Christian male friends with the Gospel.
These take place most months on a Saturday morning, and involve eating (a great, cooked) breakfast as well as some Bible study on topics relevant to men. Recent studies have covered topics such as marriage & singleness, work, and fatherhood. There is usually a minimal charge of a couple of pounds to cover the cost of food.
Joint Men’s Breakfasts
Approximately every 3-4 months, we join with other churches for a joint men’s breakfast held at a local Venue. These are ideal events for bringing friends, and always include a guest speaker, someone with an interesting story to tell. Previous speakers include men from the spheres of business, policing, the military, and sportsmen.
